  1. ISRO’s Aditya L1 mission was launched successfully on 2 September, 2023 at 11:50 AM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. The mission is India’s first dedicated solar mission and will study the Sun’s atmosphere, including the chromosphere and corona. It will also study the solar wind and its interaction with the Earth’s atmosphere.
  2. Director duo Rajdeep Paul and Sarmistha Maiti’s experimental film ‘Kalkokkho’ won the Best Bengali Film award at the 69th National Film Awards.
  3. Swaraj Tractors, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, has named Mahindra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian Captain as its new brand ambassador.
  4. Union Government appointed Jaya Verma Sinha as the first woman Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the Railway Board, the top decision-making body for the Ministry of Railways.

  6. Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd, a unit of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), secured the media rights, encompassing both digital and TV broadcasting, of India’s domestic matches and BCCI-hosted domestic tournaments for the next five years.
